SweatTag is a sports social network designed to bridge the gap between physical activity and digital community. The platform focuses on high-engagement social features and real-time performance tracking for athletes. We partnered with SweatTag to take their vision from hand-drawn sketches to a production-ready MVP prototype.

The client lacked the technical infrastructure to support a high-traffic social network requiring real-time data syncing and cross-platform compatibility. Building an ecosystem that stays responsive during user growth requires a backend that can scale seamlessly across iOS, Android, and Web.

We converted hand-drawn concepts into a comprehensive Figma design system, optimizing the user journey for athletes on the move. Then, using React, we developed simultaneous applications for mobile and web. We utilized Node.js for business logic and Supabase for real-time data and authentication. We initially utilized Vercel for rapid prototyping and frontend validation. As the platform neared launch, we migrated the deployment to AWS to provide the robust, scalable infrastructure needed for international expansion and high-concurrency social feeds. Our team employed Test-Driven Development, maintaining continuous feedback loops to ensure every social and tracking feature was validated before release.

The SweatTag project resulted in a high-performance social ecosystem, fully functional app across Web, iOS and Android.
