Overview

Stratavor is a fintech company building a new class of financial reporting engine. The platform automates the creation of strategy packs and board reports directly from raw ERP and CRM data, bridging the gap between complex accounting and executive decision-making.

Problem

Business owners often struggle to extract actionable insights from the massive volumes of raw data stored in platforms like Xero, HubSpot, and QuickBooks. Manually preparing strategy packs is a labor-intensive process prone to error, creating significant delays between data collection and strategic action. Stratavor needed a robust system capable of handling 250k+ rows of data per month per client while maintaining high-level financial narratives.

Objective

To launch a high-performance MVP, we needed to build a modular financial automation system to:

• Extract data automatically from Xero, QuickBooks via API
• Normalize complex financial schemas into a semantic, prompt-ready format
• Integrate LLM orchestration to generate narrative-driven strategy reports
• Scale to handle high row-volumes while ensuring strict data governance

Results

• We engineered custom connectors for Xero, QuickBooks to extract financial and accounting data while managing API rate limits and token renewal. For early-stage users, we built an upload feature that parses XLSX/CSV files into a unified schema, ensuring accessibility without direct integration.
• We created a transformation layer that processes raw exports into prompt-ready packages. This included custom logic for row-level aggregation and ratio calculations, mapping diverse data sources into a consistent
• We integrated Google Gemini Pro to serve as the narrative engine. Using a repeatable chain of API logic, the system transformed raw financial metrics into narrative-driven strategy outputs for Executive Summaries and KPI reports.
